I talked to Kyle Ward and he says that he is NOT working on Pump Pro2. He left the dev team awhile ago.

Also Eternus is a great song and is welcome in any music game.

That explains the rather Rebirth-esque music choices and graphic quality in banners. Like him or not, Kyle Ward did a good job with ITG.

The news of Kyle Ward leaving the Pro Team wasn't really new news or anything. I knew that for a long time.
IMO I don't think this is a bad thing at all for a number of reasons.
Glad to see that DM Ashura and Sanxion7 made the team however.

Also it seems like some of the OpenITG Team members are in this new team from what I understand as well.

Anyways I'll keep an eye on more updates as Expo 2010 comes closer.

Couples Mode is now 100% confirmed and will be called Routine Mode.
New "Gauntlet Mode" for higher tier players (Not much info on this yet)

Pump It Up Pro 2 will also have Official USB leaderboards!

I am looking forward to this game so much! I loved PIU:Pro and the second looks to be just as awesome if not more so.
I hope to god Playdium upgrades the Pro machine to Pro 2 when released.

Pump It Up: PRO 2 looks amazing! Also, looks like they finally have some 3D noteskins.
I hope they're double sided like metal+ from OITG. If they are, Windeu will have a field day making new and interesting courses, considering some of the new mods available in the SM4 code.
Fiesta also looks pretty sweet. The noteskins look cool

Some more info
- The projected/advertised release date is April 2010 with both upgrades and dedicated cabinets available.
- The online USB leader boards will not be available at launch and will follow shortly after. More info on this coming soon.

- Gauntlet mode has a battery life bar with about 20 bars. Many of the songs in this mode are not available in the Normal mode list which includes long versions, remixes and new charts. It's kinda of a fusion of Oni Mode from DDR and Special Zone from the Classic Pump games.
The Mode is not yet completed.

- Progressive mode (AKA Marathon Mode of Pump Pro) was not available at the time of Beta.
- Routine charts (AKA Couple Mode) can be picked during the set just like other Pump difficulties.
- 3D noteskins are available for both rhythm and classic styles.
- Combo colours have been added, Blue for full superb, green for full perfect.
- A full combo splash has been added.
