Were getting the sc2 Ontario Gaming scene together. Were making this forum http://ottawagamingscene.proboards.com/index.cgi , basically all info about the tournaments will be posted here and same as discussion, feel free to tell people in the area about it and we can hopefully make the ottawa community of sc2 and other games bigger then before.

Consistantly floating between Rank 2-5 platnium on my battlegroup or whatever the different names mean and it refuses to upgrade me to Diamond even though I face a decent ammount of them.

Insane A.I. is ridiculous... it's like you have to pull off some super cheesy rush or you just outright lose.

I'm halfway done the single player I've been trying to nail all the hard mode achieves along the way, just skipped two so far I think. I keep forgetting I can abuse the save feature.

Loving this game so far though.

I have heard a lot of complaints that zerg is way too weak right now... but I'm finding the exact opposite in my match-ups :(

I'm playing Terran and I probably have 70-30 win/loss ratios against Mirror and Toss, but my Zerg ratio is only ~20-80, when Zerg techs Ling/Muta I just fall apart. It seems my only wins zerg wins are when they fast expo and I bust it early or fast air because they can't tech due to expo, I just can't win a late game at all.

Any tips on what will help? I've tried thors vs mutas but zerglings eat them alive anytime I aim for a push and infantry just kinda explode to a few banelings.

Have you ever even watched some STC or TLO games vs Madfrog or idra or dimaga? It's all about mech build.

I think I'm like the only guy in the universe that has no interest in this game. But then again, I just don't like RTS games in general.

I have no interest in this game. Then again, the only game I'm actually interested in is ITG and Stepmania.

Then why are you posting here?

And Figgy, you must be doing something terribly wrong. It's common knowledge that 200 Terran army>>>>>>>>>>200 Zerg army. It's not even a close call.

Yeah I fixed up my strat vs zergs that get quick gas. My problem was I wasn't building tanks with my thors and was instead building a bioball mixed with thor vs ling muta and my bioball was getting eaten alive by lings. So now when I see quick gas I just turtle 2 base and slowly push with tanks won 14 out of my last 15 games yesterday lol SC2 is such a joke at mid level diamond, also learned the effectiveness of ghosts vs toss and went 6-0 vs toss players just by abusing emp the second the mis-position themselves. Why all these protoss don't follow me around with an observer 100% of the time before I get a Raven is beyond me.

My solution to balance changing Zerg: Give queens 15 more hp or 1 armor. Just enough to 1v1 a banshee. I think that will solve ALL the problems zerg have to be honest.

Ghosts rape mutas. You can also have some fun nuking since zerg have so many bases.

Also, zerg need a much bigger buff or terran a much bigger nerf than what you said.

Yes, you can beat alot of T with Z, but it doesn't mean the races are balanced, but that the players aren't. Look at the level of gameplay required to win with every race, and you will find that it is MUUUUUCH easier to win with T than it is with any other race. If you look at any cheese, mass reaper/ reaper bunker rush, mass marauder push against toss, hellions against Z, does it look hard? Fuck no. You make lots of barrackz, pump out marauders and attack ground and with some grandma micro you get away with the win against average diamond players. On the other side, for Toss, for example, you have to have PERFECT timing and force fields and even sometimes you will still lose. Reaper rush is a PAIIIIIIIIIIIIN in the ass to deal with and you really don't have a good chance of winning. Was it hard for terran? Fuck no they could eat pizza while doing it.

Now, why would terran players have it that easier to win games? They shouldn't. That's called balance. It's not about imbalances that can't be overcome, but rather the level of gameplay required that have to be equal.

Like me and my friend were saying, the thing is that Terran have the most space for error, while for Toss and Zerg, there is a VERY limited margin of error.

I'm getting back into this game, I kinda gave up on it after my monitor stopped working on me and I lost 5 times in a row in gold on my laptop.

I still prefer BW over this though.
